AC Electric Dynamometer
A device that uses a motor to measure the torque output on various power mechanical shafts and combines the speed to determine the power.Because the power machine to be measured may have different speeds, the motor used as a power dynamometer must be a motor that can be smoothly regulated.At present, AC dynamometer and eddy current dynamometer are widely used.
Dynamometer Structure
It is composed of AC motor, dynamometer and tachometer generator.The stator of the AC motor is supported by an independent bearing block, which can swing within a certain Angle range.The case is equipped with a torque arm, which, in conjunction with the dynamometer, can detect the torque applied to the stator.According to the principle of AC motor, the electromagnetic torque of the motor is applied simultaneously to the stator and rotor.The torque received by the stator is equal to the torque received by the rotor in opposite direction, so the torque on the shaft can be measured by the stator.Mechanical torques caused by bearings, brushes, and wind-induced friction during operation will cause the stator and rotor to be not exactly equal to each other, which will cause errors in measurement to be taken into account.
