Eddy Current Dynamometers: The "Precision Diagnostic Tool" for Mechanical Performance!
Want to know exactly how much torque and power an engine or motor has? An eddy current dynamometer is the essential tool to perform a "performance check-up" on them, and the principle behind it is actually very easy to understand!
This "cut" generates invisible eddy currents inside the metal disc, which in turn create a reverse magnetic field, applying a "braking force" (braking torque) to the rotor. This "braking force" is directly linked to the output torque of the machine being tested. Combined with the rotational speed data, a simple formula ( power = torque × angular velocity ) can be used to accurately calculate the machine's true power!
