Overview
The eddy current dynamometer is composed of brake, force measuring mechanism and speed measuring device.
Operating principle
The eddy current dynamometer is mainly composed of a rotating part (induction body), a swinging part (armature and excitation part), a force measuring part and a correction part.
The shape of the inductor is like a spur gear, and the eddy current is generated on the hole wall of the magnetic conducting eddy current ring.
After the field winding is connected with direct current, a closed flux is generated around the field winding.
When the inductor is rotated by the prime mover, the air-gap magnetic density changes periodically with the rotation of the inductor, and the eddy current electric potential will be generated on the surface of the eddy current ring hole and within a certain depth range, and the eddy current will be generated. The magnetic field formed by the eddy current will interact with the air gap magnetic field, and the braking torque will be generated.
The torque is transmitted to the force measuring device through the outer ring and the force transmission arm, and the force sensor converts the magnitude of the force into electrical signal output, so as to achieve the purpose of torque measurement.purpose of measuring the torque.
