Introduction to SLYD Series Dyno


The SLYD dynamometer adopts AC frequency conversion feedback loading, and the loading energy is fed back to the power grid through the AC load generator; the torque and speed are measured directly by the torque sensor;



Technical Advantages


1. Energy saving of electric dynamometer: the basic principle of hydraulic and eddy current dynamometer is to convert the mechanical energy generated by the prime mover into heat energy, which will be taken away by water cooling. The energy generated by the prime mover can not be recovered, and energy consumption is also required in the conversion process. However, the electric dynamometer can convert the mechanical energy generated by the prime mover into electrical energy and feed back to the internal power grid for other equipment to use.


2. The loading mode of electric dynamometer: the hydraulic dynamometer can only be loaded in one direction, and the loading performance will be worse when the speed is lower than a certain value; it can not be used as reverse towing equipment, and it needs to be equipped with additional driving equipment when the engine mechanical efficiency test is required. The eddy current dynamometer can be bi-directional loading, but its loading performance is worse than that of hydraulic dynamometer at low speed, so it can not be used as reverse towing equipment. When the engine mechanical efficiency test needs to be done, additional traction equipment should be equipped.



Three Elements of Electricity Selection


  1. Torque test range: the torque of dynamometer should not exceed the range torque value. If the test is completed in a short time, there will be no big problem.
  2. Speed test range: the speed of the dynamometer is usually the speed that can not be exceeded. If it is used for a long time, the service life of the dynamometer will be greatly shortened, especially the mechanical wear.
  3. The power marked on the dynamometer usually refers to the power absorbed by the dynamometer, because the general dynamometer is the output power of the measured part. Strictly speaking, this index can not be exceeded, otherwise the dynamometer will easily be burned out because of heat.
